Job Summary
RAM Construction Services is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with a minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience to support, maintain, and enhance the company’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems that support both office and field operations in a fast‑paced construction environment.
The ideal candidate is initiative-taking, security‑minded, and comfortable supporting a diverse user base, including office staff, project management teams, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support company servers, networks, and core IT infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, user access, group policies, and permissions.
- Support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- Monitor system performance, uptime, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support to office and field users.
- Manage system documentation, configurations, and change control.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and licensing.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment provisioning and account management.
- Assist with technology improvements, system upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure systems comply with company policies, data security standards, and applicable regulations.
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Direct experience with Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and related security controls
- Strong experience with:
- Windows Server environments
- Active Directory administration
- Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VPNs, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory
- Working knowledge of VMware virtualization
- Experience supporting both office and field‑based users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and cloud systems

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including:
- Entra ID (Azure AD) – user lifecycle, group management, MFA, conditional access
- Intune – device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, updates
- Defender – endpoint and identity protection, threat investigation, remediation
- Purview – data loss prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, compliance policies
- Manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive administration.
- Monitor service health, security alerts, and licensing usage.
- Assist with Copilot readiness, security alignment, and governance as applicable.
Physical, Work Environment Requirements & Travel Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of IT equipment (up to 30 lbs.)
May require occasional on-site support at job sites or satellite offices
