The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on support while helping drive continuous improvement across the organization — The Clancy Way.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position partners closely with internal teams and external managed service providers to support both office staff and field operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily IT operations including end-user support, onboarding/offboarding, and jobsite technology support.
  • Oversee help desk performance, ticket escalation processes, and overall service quality within a co-managed IT environment.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors and managed service providers, monitoring service levels and performance expectations.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft-centric environments including Microsoft 365, endpoints, identity management, and cloud-based services.
  • Enforce IT policies, cybersecurity controls, and technology best practices across the organization.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, audits, risk mitigation, and incident response efforts.
  • Maintain IT documentation, operational standards, and internal procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor IT staff while promoting a responsive, service-oriented IT culture.
  • Collaborate with departments including HR, Accounting, and Operations to support evolving business needs.
  • Assist with IT budgeting, cost tracking, and overall technology resource management.
  • Support field and office teams with technology solutions that improve communication, collaboration, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications / Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience working with managed service providers or within a co-managed IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking, and IT security fundamentals.
  • Experience managing help desk workflows, ticketing systems, and process automations.
  • Foundational understanding of AI technologies and their impact on business operations and technology delivery.
  • Experience supporting multi-location organizations; construction or field operations experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk products, Egnyte, Bluebeam, and other construction-focused technologies preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and follow-through.

What Success Looks Like

  • Reliable, secure, and responsive IT services across offices and jobsites.
  • Clear ownership and accountability between internal IT teams and external vendors.
  • Consistent, high-quality onboarding, support, and infrastructure management processes.
  • Strong relationships with end users, leadership teams, and operational staff.
  • Effective cost management and visibility into core IT operations and service delivery.
  • Continuous improvement in technology systems, support processes, and user experience.
