About the Role
Position Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and directly supporting the Company's information technology infrastructure, systems, and end‑user computing environment within the United States. This role serves as the primary IT point of contact for the region and combines deep technical expertise with ownership of IT outcomes, partner management, and day‑to‑day execution. The position is hands‑on and accountability‑driven, ensuring secure, stable, and reliable IT operations while supporting ongoing business initiatives and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT‑related matters in the United States, owning issue resolution and communication with internal stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate third‑party IT partners and service providers to ensure responsiveness, performance, and alignment with business needs.
- Provide IT oversight and support for two U.S. operating locations
- Manage and maintain on‑premise and cloud‑based IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, and networks.
- Administer virtual environments (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V).
- Oversee Windows and Linux server environments, including patching, upgrades, and system hardening.
- Administer Active Directory, including user/group policies, access control, and authentication.
- Maintain identity synchronization and directory integrations.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Configure and support enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching).
- Manage and administer network and endpoint security tools, including firewalls and endpoint protection platforms.
- Support identity and privileged access controls (PIM / PAM).
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and coordinate root‑cause resolution.
- Implement, manage, and validate backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Serve as the IT lead for enterprise system initiatives, including ERP implementation, integrations, and post‑go‑live support, partnering closely with operations, finance, and external vendors.
- Identify, pilot, and support practical automation and AI‑enabled tools that improve internal efficiency, documentation, reporting, and decision‑making.
- Support business continuity, cybersecurity, and IT compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–6 years of progressive experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or technical support roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience supporting virtualization platforms and enterprise networks.
- Practical knowledge of security best practices, endpoint protection, and firewall technologies.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and directory services environments.
- Prior involvement in ERP implementations or large enterprise system projects preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Security, or related) preferred.
Role Characteristics
This role is technically hands‑on and execution‑focused. While the position coordinates and manages external IT partners, it does not currently manage an internal IT staff. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to independently drive resolution while operating in a fast‑moving, multi‑site environment.
