Join us as a Senior IT Administrator at Software Finder, where you'll take full ownership of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems that power our software development and business operations.
About the Role
The Senior IT Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure end to end. This role oversees servers, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity controls, and system administration while ensuring seamless technology operations across the organization. It requires strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to system reliability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced software house environment.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
Manage and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
Monitor system health, availability, and performance across the organization.
Perform system upgrades, patching, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure high availability of all business-critical systems.
Network Administration
Configure and manage LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Implement network security controls and segmentation.
Cloud Administration
Manage cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud.
Monitor cloud resources and optimize usage and cost efficiency.
Manage virtual machines, storage, backups, and cloud security configurations.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Implement and manage endpoint security solutions across the organization.
Monitor access controls and privileged account management.
Conduct security audits and lead vulnerability remediation efforts.
Ensure compliance with internal security standards and policies.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Manage backup systems and recovery procedures.
Perform regular backup validation and restoration testing.
Maintain business continuity readiness at all times.
User Support & Technical Escalation
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for complex infrastructure and system issues.
Support software deployment and environment troubleshooting across teams.
System Monitoring & Performance Optimization
Monitor system logs, alerts, and infrastructure metrics continuously.
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement targeted improvements.
IT Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for systems, configurations, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
Vendor & Asset Management
Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for procurement, support, and licensing.
Manage IT assets and ensure licensing compliance across the organization.
Development Infrastructure Support
Manage development, staging, and testing environments for software teams.
Support CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipelines where applicable.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of hands-on IT administration experience.
Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, security administration, and backup solutions.
Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
Experience with firewall and network security management.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Cloud infrastructure management across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Endpoint management and monitoring tools experience.
Scripting capability in PowerShell or Bash for automation and administration tasks.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
