Windows Server Administrator - 302710

DNI is providing server administration support to the Air Logistics Center to include day-to-day maintenance of Microsoft Windows Servers, Server Software, and other tools used within an Application Server eXchange (ASX). This position will also monitor, evaluate, troubleshoot, tune, and analyze system performance to maintain maximum effectiveness and efficiency throughout the various systems environments; install and upgrade hardware; and install, set up, and configure various operating systems and applications. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Provide direct support for customer’s systems and applications 

• Act as the Functional Systems Administrator (FSA)  

• Assist project managers on issues related to software development and problem resolution 

• Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Servers 

• Responsible for system security, including applying updates, security checks, and the reporting of security incidents in accordance with government regulations 

Position Requirements: 

• US Citizenship 

• Active or Interim DoD Secret Clearance 

• CompTIA Security+ Certified 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills  

• 4+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration 

• Proficiency in the following: 

• Setting up, configuring, and maintaining VMWare vSphere  

• Windows Servers running IIS (Microsoft Internet Information Services) versions 7.5 and 8 

• Windows Server and Web support of .Net and Java applications with Oracle/SQL database backend
