About the Role
As a System Administrator, you will work closely with Information Services teams to install, administer, and support server and application systems across the credit union. You will troubleshoot technical issues of moderate complexity, maintain system reliability, support security and backup processes, and contribute to operational improvements that enhance service to members and internal teams.
This role is well suited for someone who brings solid systems administration fundamentals, a strong service mindset, and a desire to continue growing their technical skills in a regulated environment.
What you will need to be successful:
- Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise infrastructure systems with a focus on Microsoft based server and adjacent technologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange administration. Experience supporting server virtualization platforms, backup technologies, system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, and patch management systems and procedures. Experience working in a regulated environment, including financial services, is preferred.
- Strong Communication & Service Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly in both technical and non technical terms. Strong service orientation with the ability to support users across departments with varying technical skill levels. Demonstrated commitment to follow through, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
- Problem Solving & Time Management:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex infrastructure issues. Ability to prioritize work effectively, balance operational support with project contributions, and maintain attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
- Experience & Education:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. At least two years of experience in a Systems Administrator role supporting Microsoft Windows Server and adjacent technologies. Experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
