System Administrator

Job Summary

The systems administrator position will help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot a rapidly expanding infrastructure.  Staff in this position will demonstrate superb technical competency, deliver mission critical infrastructure, and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop the plan to implement hardware and software lifecycle management.
• Monitor and manage network applications, systems, and hardware.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications software and system management tools.
• Maintain high level of network efficiency and security.
• Be efficient in monitoring and reporting performance and configuration issues in network infrastructure such as Meraki switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Maintain security updates and protection of all servers and other equipment.
• Maintain VMware infrastructure to include VxRail, IDPA, and multiple Vcenters.
• Monitor and maintain AT&T, Comcast, ATC internet connections and vpn connections.
• Configure Unity Connected Solutions phone and call center systems.  Maintain configuration integrity.
• Monitor organization storage systems to include VxRail, Tegile, and HP.
• Monitor and report issues with SEPA’s enterprise Citrix environment.
• Maintain highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and security.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Other duties as assigned

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent training and experience.
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows/UNIX /Linux based environments.
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of applications such as Office 365, Citrix, and also have aptitude to learn and manage legacy applications.
• Solid network storage experience with Tegile, Synology, EMS, and Buffalo.
• Experience with virtualization.  Specifically, VMWare.
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• Experience with various security devices such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Cisco Meraki.
