Position Summary
We are seeking a DoD IT professional to provide comprehensive information technology helpdesk support for the North Carolina Army National Guard (NCARNG) G1 Medical Branch. This position serves as the primary IT support resource for all G1 Medical Branch personnel, resolving network, hardware, and software issues on a daily basis and managing IPPS-A CRM ticket workflow.
The ideal candidate will hold a current DoD 8570.01-M baseline IT certification at time of contract award, have hands-on experience supporting DoD network environments, and be comfortable working independently to resolve a wide variety of IT issues in a mission-critical setting. Telework is not authorized.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive IT helpdesk support for all network, hardware, and software problems encountered by G1 Medical Branch personnel
- Review IPPS-A CRM tickets and assign as required
- Maintain compliance with DoD Information Assurance requirements per DoDD 8140.01, DoD 8570.01-M, and AR 25-2
- Comply with all COMSEC/IT security requirements in all communications and system interactions
- Comply with command Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for all Government Information Systems prior to and during account use
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- DoD 8570.01-M / DoDD 8140.01 baseline IT certification — MUST be held upon contract award;
- Compliance with DoDD 8140.01, DoD 8570.01-M, and AR 25-2 within six months of contract start
- Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI / Public Trust Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Demonstrated experience providing IT helpdesk support in a DoD or military environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, SharePoint
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive/confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military service or direct experience supporting the National Guard or Army Reserve
- Currently active DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and/or existing favorable security clearance adjudication — candidates with an active Secret clearance or higher fully meet and exceed the NACI/Public Trust minimum requirement
- Experience working with the NCARNG or NGB medical programs
- Familiarity with multiple DoD medical database and administrative systems
- Experience with the IPPS-A CRM ticketing system
- Familiarity with Army Enterprise network environments
- CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, or equivalent DoD-recognized baseline certification already in hand
