Job DetailsJob Location: Saint Louis - Saint Louis, MO 63132Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeThe grant administration team sits at the nexus of the science and finance organizations within the Danforth Plant Science Center.  The Center is in the process of updating multiple internal processes and systems that touch both organizations. As these systems are brought on board, the Manager of Systems Integration will oversee the integration and updating of current processes to maximize the efficiency and stewardship of grant and center resources. The Manager of Grant Administration is responsible for overseeing the team responsible for pre and post grant support function in scientific labs and core facilities.  This function supports both the planning and execution of grants, ensuring that submissions align with funding guidelines and that awarded funds are managed in compliance with organizational policies and sponsor requirements. The Manager will serve as a critical resource for the grant support team and Principal Investigators (PI), providing guidance on best practices for grant administration and financial stewardship.   Responsibilities: Manages a team of grant specialists to deliver pre- and post-award support to Danforth Center PIs.  Fosters a team culture of collaboration and support including but not limited to delegating and assigning workloads, hiring, coaching and developing team members and providing training and resources to team members and stakeholders. Coordinates with the ERP implementation team to ensure that grant management and forecasting functions are enabling the science organization function smoothly while ensuring stewardship of resources. Serves as liaison with PIs to seek feedback about support levels and address opportunities.  Examines PI and grant support structure to maintain workload balance. Identifies process improvement, efficiency, compliance and training for stakeholders and users.  Identifies solutions to reduce redundancy and apply streamlined processes to improve the pre and post award experience while maintaining our value of stewardship. Represents the Grant Administration function by actively participating within Danforth Center meetings.  Proactively partners with Sponsored Research Compliance team to ensure processes, polices and compliance remains aligned and communicates with the grant support team and PIs Collaborates closely with PIs and the grant support team to ensure adherence to the Danforth Center's policies and procedures, effectively managing both pre- and post-award requirements to guarantee compliance and smooth project execution. Ensures that the organization follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations.
