Nexus Family Healing is seeking an IT Technician to join our team!


Our IT Tech provides on-site technical installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and/or software components to ensure optimal performance of systems.

  • Full-time onsite opportunity
  • Address: 407 130th Ave S, Onamia, MN
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Pay Range: $25-28 hourly

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in the computer systems administration.

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computing hardware, software, and peripherals to include the imaging of computer resources utilizing the Nexus imaging tools.
  • Assist the Nexus IT team in troubleshooting, as necessary, service outages, degradation of services, or disruptions.
  • As directed, assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the technology services to include active directory, printing, data/file management, and other applicable services.
  • As directed, implement standardization initiatives to ensure compliance with the Nexus Technology strategic direction.

Provide End-User Support and Training.

  • Respond to end-user requests, incidents, questions, and other technology support requirements.
  • Provide end-user training as necessary to ensure end-users are aware of the Nexus technology services and capabilities and the appropriate use of the services.
  • Provide Tier I end-user deskside support for all Minnesota offices as necessary
  • Maintain and manage ticketing platform (e.g. creating, updating, and resolving tickets, monitoring tickets assigned to the queue and processing first-in first-out based on priority, etc.)

Provide network support.

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user training and support of the organization’s teleconferencing systems.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user training and support of the organization’s telephony equipment to include cellular devices.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user training and support of the organization’s network systems to include LAN, WAN, and WLAN
  • As directed, install, maintain, and troubleshoot network associated hardware and software to include, firewalls, routers, switches, servers, wireless access points, etc. for all Minnesota offices.

Assist with administrative, logistic, and documentation support.

  • Maintain documentation regarding allocation, lifecycle, and repair status of all IT assets.
  • Participate in Nexus IT meetings and collaborate with the Nexus IT team to innovate and advance the capabilities of the organization.

Requirements

Required Education and Licensure:

  • Associates degree in computer science. In lieu of degree, may accept a combination of work-related experience and education.
  • 1+ year experience supporting end users in an IT department.
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
  • Must successfully pass a DHS criminal background check 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience supporting end users in an IT department or help desk environment.
