Starting Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 (annually $41,160 - $45,080)

35 Hour Work Week

Job Duties: 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email and in person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist with setting up and supporting audio/visual equipment for meetings or presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
  • Assist with inventory tracking of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or IT management as needed.
  • Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security protocol.
  • Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Assist in the administration of the Microsoft 365 tenant, including user accounts, licenses, and basic settings.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Perform basic print server administration and maintenance tasks. 
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of Active Directory user accounts, groups, and computers.
  • Execute basic VoIP setup and configuration procedures.
  • Minimal travel required. 

Education: 

  • An associate degree in a related field or a comparable qualification is required. Experience will be considered in leave of education. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical support role. 
  • Experience gained through internships, apprenticeships, part-time roles, volunteer work or academic projects is acceptable.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. 
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, browser, anti-virus software). 
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices, including data protection and safe internet usage.
  • Basic knowledge of a ticketing system. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
