Job Summary
B&F Contracting is seeking an IT Support Technician – Level 1 to join our Technology & Business Operations team and provide technical assistance to our internal users. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing timely, professional support to end-users across our office and field operations. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.


Schedule & Work Location
This is a fully onsite position based at our Phoenix, AZ office. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Occasional travel to job sites and other B&F locations in and around the Phoenix metro area may be required.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
  • Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, account setup, and equipment collection
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain conference room technology including AV systems, Teams Rooms, and room scheduling panels
  • Provide basic end-user training on IT systems, applications, and best practices
  • Collaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues with clear documentation of troubleshooting steps taken
  • Document support activities including issue details, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment, peripherals, and supplies; ensure technology is organized and properly tracked
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security and data privacy



Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications or technical training a plus (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems; familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel to job sites
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional support
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices
  • Experience with ticketing systems or helpdesk software is a plus
