POSITION
IT Support Technician
JOB SUMMARY
The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician is an integral part of the communication and technology infrastructure across all departments within the company. This position is responsible for managing and implementing technology needs and computer training processes company-wide. The IT Support Technician will lead any changes, maintain our security systems and compliance, and manage our access card systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to and be directed by the Facilities & Engineering Manager in all duties.
- Provide help desk support and resolve technical issues for employees efficiently.
- Monitor and respond quickly to help requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Document and update internal technical procedures and “How-To” guides for employees.
- Manage the computer setup and training of onboarding new users.
- Maintain and manage an accurate inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Perform workstation hardware and software upgrades and vulnerability remediation as required.
- Manage and maintain the company's Microsoft Global Admin account.
- Maintain network infrastructure, including on-site NAS, and ensure reliable and secure network operations.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems, including monitoring threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop, manage, and oversee IT policies and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Team, ensuring company-wide compliance.
- Manage and oversee the CMMC compliance program.
- Evaluate efficiency through methods such as workflow analysis, workstation organization, and time management improvements.
- Initiate, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives, working closely with the Quality Manager and other management staff in the development of Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Monitor and enforce IT company policies and procedures, notifying managers of non-compliance for corrective action.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Full-time, on-site position.
- 5+ years general IT support experience.
- Experience managing Microsoft Global Admin for Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and Azure accounts.
- Experience managing and maintaining on-site NAS systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing cybersecurity protocols.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and tracking information.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new software and technologies.
- Efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- May be required to travel for trade shows, training events, gear testing, customer locations, military installations, demonstration sites, and industry or company events.
- May be required to work overtime and/or extended hours depending on business needs.
- Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and kneeling for up to and including 8 hours.
- Vision to view printed and electronic text and graphics.
- Ability to access information on computers, tablets, and electronics.
- Ability to handle and manipulate items with hands and/or fingers up to and including 8 hours.
- In accordance with the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (18 U.S.C. § 931), the applicant must not have a violent felony background.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Knowledgeable in CMMC compliance requirements.
- Utilization of AI tools and skills to manage workloads and boost efficiency.
