The IT Support Specialist provides IT support and assists with core systems administration within a manufacturing and office environment. This role supports end users, manages day to day IT operations, assists with ERP administration, and coordinates with external service providers. The position is highly user facing and operational in nature, with the opportunity to grow into broader systems administration responsibilities over time.
Job Description
Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, and provide daily technical support for hardware, software, email, and connectivity issues
Support employee onboarding and offboarding by creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts
Assist with administration of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, including routine system checks, updates, and basic security monitoring
Support backups, patching, and disaster recovery processes
Provide day-to-day user support and administration for the ERP system (Macola), including managing user access, troubleshooting issues, and supporting reporting needs
Partner with operations and management to support and improve business workflows and system usage
Serve as the primary point of contact for managed service providers, including submitting, tracking, and escalating support tickets as needed
Assist with IT projects and initiatives to gradually bring additional responsibilities in house
Work closely with cross functional departments and management to support, optimize, and improve business workflows and system usage
Prior IT support experience in a manufacturing setting, including support for shop floor and operations users, preferred
Qualifications
Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to understand and communicate clearly to internal and external customers.
Ability to work directly with manufacturing, operations, and office staff
Project Management.
ERP experience.
Microsoft SQL experience preferred.
Active Directory and domain environments
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 experience
VoIP, networking, and backup solutions
Bachelor's or master's degree in a computer field.
Five or more years of IT work experience.
