Job Summary:
The IT Specialist supports and enhances Sentry, LLC’s technology systems, with a focus on security, functionality, and user experience in a primarily Microsoft 365 cloud environment. This role ensures systems are secure, integrated, and aligned with business needs. Working through Central Services, this position partners across departments to improve processes, support users, and maintain scalable, secure technology solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Security & Monitoring: Manage security across Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms. Monitor for threats, vulnerabilities, and unusual activity. Maintain security policies, access controls, and compliance.
- Incident Response: Lead response to cybersecurity incidents. Investigate, resolve, and perform root cause analysis. Implement preventive controls and improvements
- Systems & Integration: Manage and improve system integrations, workflows, and automation. Ensure systems are efficient, connected, and scalable. Identify opportunities to enhance performance and usability.
- User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting across departments. Assist with training and day-to-day technology needs. Support hardware setup when needed.
- Collaboration: Partner with teams to understand needs and improve technology use. Recommend tools and solutions to increase productivity. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate systems and workflows for improvement. Stay current on technology and security best practices. Drive initiatives that improve efficiency and user experience.
- Other Duties: Support additional IT projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–5 years of IT support, systems administration, or cybersecurity experience. Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud environments required. Experience with integrations, workflows, or automation preferred.
Skills:
- Microsoft 365 administration and security knowledge
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Experience with system integrations and automation tools
- Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
