Job Title: System Administrator

Position Summary:
Epitec is seeking an IT Systems Administrator (Level 1–2) to run day-to-day administration and support for our Microsoft 365 environment and end-user devices. This is a hands-on operator role focused on reliable execution, user support, and maintaining secure, compliant configurations.
You will be the primary owner of daily IT operations. For complex architecture, security posture decisions, and higher-tier incidents, you will escalate to our senior escalation engineer (Level 3) and collaborate with the IT Manager for prioritization and business decisions.
Work Model :
- Full-time (40 hours/week).
- Hybrid/on-site expectations as applicable to business needs (equipment, onboarding, office support) in Southfield, MI
- Primary “first responder” for IT support; uses escalation rules for higher-tier issues.
Position Overview:
- Microsoft 365 admin center (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, security settings as assigned)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): identity, groups, access requests, MFA support, conditional access execution
- Microsoft Intune: device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, app deployment, Autopilot workflows
- Microsoft Defender (as assigned): alert triage, first-response actions, escalation
- Core SaaS admin tasks (user access, SSO where applicable, basic vendor coordination)
- Office networking basics (Wi-Fi, connectivity, printers), with escalation for network architecture changes
Role Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in a helpdesk, systems administration, or endpoint administration role (Level 1–2).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, or PMP are desirable.
- Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365 (users, licenses, Teams/Exchange basics).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals (MFA support, groups, access troubleshooting).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, profiles, compliance policies, app deployment).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 10/11, Office apps, networking basics, and common SaaS platforms.
- Able to work independently in a lean environment: communicates clearly, documents work, and escalates appropriately.
