About the Role
Description
SUMMARY
Analyze science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Analyze or recommend commercially available software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As the primary contact for Help Desk, provide professional and respectful service to all employees and members of the organization
- Extraordinary attention to detail in assigned tasks
- Assist users with issues related to desktop/laptop computers, tablets, cell phones, printers, scanners, or other technology resources
- Perform deployment of new laptops, tablets, workstations, as well as upgrades
- Assist users with issues related to Microsoft technologies and Engineering software applications
- Learn and support the roll-out of new applications
- Maintain asset records for all IT related equipment and licensing
- Research solutions for technology issues, as needed
- Support CIO in successful project delivery
Requirements
REQUIRED
- Computer related Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
- Working knowledge of computer equipment, such as: computers, tablets, laptops, networking equipment, as well as computer components, to identify problems and introduce repairs or replacements
- Experience managing and maintaining the following operating systems: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, iPhone iOS, and Android
- Experience working with and troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and so on)
- Basic knowledge of network functions and services (TCP/IP VLANs, DHCP, DNS, IP configuration on endpoint devices)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory; ability to add and remove users and rights
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
DESIRED
- Industry Certifications and/or Relevant Experience
- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Detailed oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
