In this hands-on role, you’ll provide friendly, timely technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with computers, phones, and other technology, and help maintain reliable day-to-day IT operations. The Help Desk Technician provides first-level technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and access issues. Maintains accurate support documentation, manages service requests, and escalates complex problems as needed while delivering professional and timely customer service. Type: Hourly, Full-Time Year- Round ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions). Configure, install, troubleshoot and maintain local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, cabling, Point of Sale systems and telephones. Establish and maintain network users, user environment, and directories. Train users on software and equipment usage. Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs. Communicate with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operational problems. Configure and deploy new desktops and laptops and route seasonal hardware to appropriate locations. Maintain, upgrade and repair workstations and POS systems. Set up and configure Office applications. Data entry and POS product input and maintenance. Stay informed about industry trends and complete relevant Information Technology training. Assist in departmental processes like purchasing, receiving, maintaining knowledge base, work order system, etc. Provide excellent customer service to Tahoe Donner team members, guests, business partners and Association members.   What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more. Requires possession of valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the Association insurance carrier.   A+ certification or equivalent preferred.  These skills and abilities are typically acquired through obtaining A.A. in Computer Science or related field; or two years related experience and/or training as a computer technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
