Key Responsibilities
Supervision: responsible for Supervision of the Final Test operators as well as technical (hands-on testing and diagnostics) and procedural (ensuring cables are tested per specification and industry standards).
Testing and Validation: perform electrical testing, including:
- Partial Discharge (PD) testing
- AC Withstand testing
- Insulation resistance and continuity testing
Conduct mechanical and physical tests:
- Tensile strength and elongation
- Dimensional verification
- Validate cable performance against applicable industry standards (UL 1072, ANSI/ICEA S-97-682, ANSI/ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8)
Process Control & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to documented quality control procedures and test methods
- Monitor critical test parameters and identify deviations or anomalies
- Support nonconformance investigations and corrective actions (RCA, CAPA)
- Maintain traceability of test results to material lots and production runs
Equipment & Calibration:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-voltage test equipment
- Ensure all test instruments are calibrated and maintained per schedule
- Assist in validation and commissioning of new test systems.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Record, analyze, and interpret test data for compliance and trends to ensure Certified Test Reports are completed on time.
