Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all production and repair test activities in support of assigned products, including but not limited to Environmental Testing, Design Verification and Validation, Embedded System and Processor Testing, EMI/EMC Testing.
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing failures to determine root cause.
  • Creates and edits detailed, repeatable electrical test procedures and documentation through change management process directly related to products.
  • Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing.
  • Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
  • Works with assigned operations personnel to establish test plans and supports completion rates for test work cells.
  • Transitions test solutions between factories during product acquisitions.
  • Interfaces with management to present program status, capital requests, or continuous improvement initiatives.


 



Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred, plus a minimum of 3 years of direct industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to understand and analyze analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF and power circuits.
  • Prior experience utilizing oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies and signal generators.
  • Prior experience developing and operating automated test systems using platforms such as LabVIEW, TestStand, PXI or custom ATE.
  • Prior experience testing, debugging, and validating embedded processors, microcontrollers, System-on-Chip (SoC) devices, and embedded computer systems, including hardware/software integration, boot-up verification, peripheral interfaces, and firmware validation.

Preferred Skills

  • Standards Compliance – knowledge of industry standards such as IPC, MIL-STD, or RTCA DO-160.
  • Video Electronics Debugging – experience troubleshooting composite video devices integrated into embedded computer systems, including analog video signal paths, video encoders/decoders, and display controllers.
  • Programming & Scripting – familiarity with languages such as C/C++ or LabVIEW.
