Position Summary
The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) is seeking a customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. This position provides technical support to faculty, staff, and administrators by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and related technology systems. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to supporting the educational mission of USDB.

- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- This is a full-time, twelve month per year position. Work schedule, Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day.
- Duties may include work outside normal working hours. Some off-site travel to provide outreach support to personnel located throughout the state may be required, with occasional overnight stays possible.
