About the Role
Compensation: $62,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience and credentials
Location Type: Hybrid
Position Type: Full Time
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of end-user applications. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This role effectively participates independently and as a team member. An ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who makes key decisions and takes ownership of their own projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of all aspects of end-user applications
- Administer upgrades and installation of end-user applications
- Document application architecture and troubleshooting steps
- Monitor performance of end-user applications and address issues
- Maintenance of the credit union systems and servers
- Serve as a technical consultant to business units for technology purchases
- Create disaster recovery plans for end-user applications
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Serve as lead on large or complex projects, overseeing software and hardware rollouts and upgrades
- Collaborate with Suncoast Credit Union departments and external vendors to successfully execute projects
- Participate in regular on-call rotation for the Information Technology Division
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
- Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
- Complete annual BSA/AML compliance training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program
- Complete FACT Act Red Flag training
Qualifications
- One of the following certifications required; Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field preferred (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
- Experience with database administration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of windows server OS-based systems and security configurations
- Experience with industry-standard data backup/recovery solutions
- Ability to plan, deploy and manage IT projects
- Proficient knowledge of cloud services (Azure AWS ETC)
- Knowledge of PowerShell preferred
- Proficient knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts, and other communications hardware techniques
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
- Good knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job
- Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities
- Good knowledge and understanding of all credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
- Good communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Works independently with general supervision
