About the Role

We are Aisin Aftermarket and Services of America, a leading remanufacturer of automotive transmissions whose success is built on a commitment to customer and employee satisfaction.  At our Plymouth and Romulus, MI facilities, you’ll find we’ve built a dynamic team setting and an environment that promotes personal and professional development.  We are currently looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join us, bringing along his or her own reputation for dedication and achievement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and wireless devices including upgrades and replacements of hardware and/or software as necessary.
  • Configure new equipment ensuring software and security compliance
  • Install and configure applications on desktops and laptops. Software includes, but is not limited to MS Office, Adobe, IBM Client Access, and Endpoint Security.
  • Administer M365, MS ADDS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows updates, file and print servers.
  • Identify and troubleshoot malfunctioning hardware and software.
  • Handle helpdesk tickets, providing timely updates to both clients and tickets on a routine basis.
  • Assist with software program updates and deployment.
  • Perform regularly scheduled audits of desktops and laptops to verify installation of all required patches and upgrades.
  • Document internal procedures.
  • Work with vendors for support and service calls.
  • Prepare used equipment for disposal or re-deployment.
  • Administer data backup and monitoring of systems and applications.
  • Assist with problem resolution for local area network.
  • Development and printing of various barcoded labels.
  • Participate in special IT projects as needed.
  • Train associates with software features or benefits.
  • Some Travel within US supporting projects less than 10 percent.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or 4 to 5 years’ experience.
  • Microsoft and one or more certifications in fields of expertise, Network +, Security+, A + etc. preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing and/or office environment.
  • Microsoft products.
  • Active Directory, networking, wireless and IP addressing.
  • Troubleshooting experience with hardware and software issues for laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, PING and Trace route.
  • Ability to work with vendor’s support technicians to diagnose issues.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
