Sr. Network Engineer
Location: On-site (Customer Location)
Position Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer delivers Tier III SME-level support across customer Data Center networks, application delivery platforms, and network security environments. This role spans the full lifecycle—from solution design, system integration, and deployment to ongoing operations, maintenance (O&M), and advanced fault management for high-consequence intelligence operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Center O&M & Architecture: Perform Tier III troubleshooting, maintain LAN/WAN configurations, execute network upgrades, and evaluate emerging technologies for ERB presentation and integration.
- Deployment & Stage Management: Collaborate with cross-functional system engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to design, deploy, and scale network solutions on established timelines.
- Security & Performance Management: Ensure network integrations comply with DoD STIGs and customer standards; integrate systems into availability frameworks and execute change management protocols.
- Analysis & Diagnostic Operations: Perform complex TCP/UDP application flow analyses using network analyzers; coordinate with vendor/Tier IV support to resolve hardware/software anomalies.
-
Documentation & Standard Operating Procedures: Develop SOPs, network architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures to standardize O&M workflows and support team operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance & Polygraph: Active TS/SCI security clearance; willing to take a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Experience: 10+ years of network engineering experience, with a heavy focus on data center networking technologies and independent project management.
- Certifications: Professional or expert-level certification required (minimum CCNP, F5-CTS, or JNCIP).
- Routing & Network Protocols: SME-level expertise with dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and TCP/UDP application flow analysis using built-in diagnostic tools and external analyzers.
-
Tools & Documentation: Proficiency with MS Visio for network architecture mapping; strong written and verbal presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert Certifications: CCIE, F5-CSE, or JNCIE.
- Data Center Architecture: Hands-on experience with EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco vPC, Cisco ACI, F5 load balancing, RSTP, and SD-WAN.
-
Hardware & OS: Deep familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, F5, and Palo Alto platforms.
