Position overview
The Software and Applications System Administrator owns the software and application environment across Range USA's 50+ location operation. This role manages the full lifecycle of enterprise software and endpoint configuration — from deployment and licensing through compliance and decommission — and serves as the primary escalation point for software and application issues across the company. It is a hands-on, self-directed role that requires strong technical ownership, rigorous documentation habits, and the ability to operate effectively across a distributed retail environment with minimal supervision.
Core values alignment:

Administers user provisioning and deprovisioning across platforms, including role-based access control, SSO, and MFA via Entra ID
Experience with Chrome Browser Cloud Management or similar browser fleet management
Leads new store technology setup and configuration; requires on-site travel for new store openings (approximately 3 per year, 4 days on-site per opening)
Develops and maintains PowerShell scripts and automated workflows to reduce manual administrative overhead
Resolves help desk escalations related to software, application access, and device configuration
Owns resolution of complex software and application issues, including root cause analysis and documentation of findings
Evaluates and recommends software solutions that improve productivity or reduce cost, and leads testing and implementation
Maintains accurate system documentation and SOPs — this role generates significant institutional knowledge that must be captured and maintained
Trains staff on new software through in-person sessions, written documentation, and recorded walkthroughs
Communicates system changes and updates to the IT Infrastructure Manager
