MSRC is seeking an IT System Administrator to support the administration, security, and maintenance of the Company’s IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, end-user systems, and technology resources to ensure reliable and compliant business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Microsoft 365 & Entra ID (Azure AD) Administration: Manage user access, security policies, Conditional Access, MFA, and role-based controls while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot workstation, laptop, and application problems.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Respond to IT support requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory of company-issued IT equipment.
- Manage device lifecycle including deployment, replacement, and retirement.
- Assist with endpoint management, updates, and system patching.
- Support mobile device and workstation configuration as needed.
- Assist with maintenance and updates to the company website.
- Support minor updates to internal technology platforms or tools.
- Ensure web and digital resources remain operational and up to date.
- Ensure systems and devices are configured in accordance with company security policies.
- Assist with implementation of security configurations directed by the IT Systems Manager.
- Support secure handling of sensitive information and follow established security procedures.
- On-call efforts will occasionally be required for support and maintenance issues.
- Maintain domain infrastructure to support corporate requirements.
- Proactive management of hardware and software systems to include preparation of annual budget requirement.
- Assist with implementation of company technology initiatives, including office relocations, workspace reconfigurations, and infrastructure upgrade
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent required.
Job Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of experience with computer systems support, server installation and support, network administration, network installation and configuration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops, and Servers.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and systems infrastructure issues.
- Hands-on experience with deployment and/or support of systems.
- Linux and Macintosh operating systems.
- Knowledge of DoD compliance and security requirements relating to DFARS 252-204-7012 and the NIST SP 800-171 preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within agreed upon time frame.
- Team participation skills as well as the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills which promote user satisfaction.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
