About the Role

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in United States.

This Senior Infrastructure Engineer role is designed for a highly autonomous professional passionate about cloud infrastructure, open-source ecosystems, and scalable engineering practices. You will lead infrastructure initiatives across multi-cloud environments while contributing to the design, implementation, and long-term sustainability of reliable systems for both internal operations and client-facing projects. The position combines hands-on technical execution with architectural leadership, requiring strong expertise in automation, observability, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. You will also collaborate closely with globally distributed engineering teams and contribute actively to open-source communities. The role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-native platforms, support data-intensive environments, and help organizations adopt scalable and maintainable infrastructure solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who thrive in transparent, collaborative, and deeply technical environments focused on innovation and open-source impact.

  • Manage Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads, including deployment automation and Helm chart maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to improve deployment reliability and engineering productivity.
  • Implement observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and related platforms.
  • Collaborate with client teams to transfer infrastructure knowledge and establish sustainable operational practices.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and actively participate in technical communities related to infrastructure and cloud engineering.
  • Support cloud security best practices including IAM/RBAC, secrets management, pipeline security, and infrastructure governance.
  • Mentor team members and collaborate asynchronously within globally distributed engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong experience working with at least two major cloud providers among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with familiarity across all three.
  • Advanced expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Helm chart development.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, and logging solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch stacks.
  • Proficiency in Python or another scripting/programming language for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and secure pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Git, GitHub workflows, and remote asynchronous collaboration practices.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients, translating technical requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Active open-source contributor or maintainer experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitOps, MLOps, AI/ML infrastructure, SQL/databases, or configuration management tools such as Ansible is considered a plus.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote work environment with global collaboration opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation package based on experience and location.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health and benefits package where applicable.
  • Flexible work schedules with emphasis on work-life balance.
