Job Summary

The IT Specialist serves as a key member of the Information Technology team and is responsible for delivering exceptional technical support while contributing to the administration, security, and ongoing improvement of the company's technology environment.

This role provides an opportunity to work across a diverse technology landscape including endpoint management, Microsoft 365, networking, servers, cybersecurity, cloud services, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver who enjoys helping users, continuously learning new technologies, and taking ownership of technical challenges from start to finish.

This position is well suited for an individual looking to grow beyond traditional help desk responsibilities and build a career in systems administration, cloud technologies, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

 

· Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

· After hours and weekend work may be necessary

· Primarily office-based desk work involving responding to support requests

· Travel required to support multiple offices and job sites, which may vary in connectivity and technical complexity

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Provide technical support for company-supported hardware, software, mobile devices, and business applications.

· Respond to and resolve support requests through phone, email, remote support, and in-person interactions.

· Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, printer, network connectivity, Microsoft 365, and application-related issues.

· Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, wireless infrastructure, and other endpoint technologies.

· Assist with Active Directory administration, user account management, access requests, and device provisioning.

· Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and related services.

· Investigate and remediate security-related alerts, vulnerabilities, and compliance tasks.

· Participate in infrastructure initiatives involving servers, storage, networking, cloud services, and disaster recovery.

· Assist with technology projects including office deployments, software rollouts, security enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.

· Document support activities, solutions, procedures, and technical standards.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with users while delivering excellent customer service.

· Collaborate with internal IT team members and external support partners to resolve complex technical issues.

· Travel periodically to offices and jobsites to provide onsite technical support and project assistance.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or related technical roles.

· Strong PC troubleshooting skills including hardware diagnostics, imaging, deployment, and repair.

· Proficiency supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.

· Experience with Active Directory user administration and Group Policy fundamentals.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.

· Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless, VPN, and internet connectivity troubleshooting.

· Experience supporting mobile devices and endpoint technologies.
