Job Title: Red Hat System Administrator
Location: Remote
Summary: Seeking a Red Hat System Administrator to perform complex system administration tasks, manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, and contribute to technical deliverables while developing innovative solutions with a high degree of independence.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation.
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services.
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes.
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, including permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, updates, and core services.
- Manage users and groups, including the use of a centralized directory for authentication.
- Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
