Job Description
ECS is seeking a System Administrator - Junior to support the Army National Guard's enterprise IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations in Fairfax, VA. The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.
Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Task 4 — Enterprise Operations Support — provides 24/7/365 network monitoring, control, and management from the RCC-ARNG Network Operations Center (NOC) over classified and unclassified networks, delivering DoDIN services including data, voice, and video across the ARNG's distributed enterprise infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine configuration updates and patch deployments under senior supervision.
- Monitor enterprise systems and document activities to ensure operational standards are met.
- Assist in troubleshooting efforts and incident resolution to maintain system availability.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and configuration management protocols.
- Support the deployment and automation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems using Ansible.
- Manage infrastructure components and maintain security compliance across 200+ critical assets.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the development of operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 451-System Administrator at the Basic proficiency level
- Certifications (one or more required): Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and infrastructure management
- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployment and configuration
- Experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible and Satellite Server
- Proven ability to manage enterprise environments with a focus on security compliance
