Hands-on Network architect will design, deploy, and support Cadence’s global enterprise network. This role ensures secure access, and high availability across data centers, cloud environments, and campus network. Interested candidate should have results-driven mindset with a track record of delivering high-impact network solutions on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and architect solution that meets business requirements. Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security encompassing DC, Campus Network, WAN leveraging Cisco, Arista, HPE/Aruba platforms
Lead implementation efforts for large-scale network initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives; ensure quality & timely delivery.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for network outages or performance issues, applying advanced diagnostic techniques. Recommend & implement changes to prevent unscheduled outage.
Develop and enforce network policies, standards, and best practices, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Support hybrid cloud connectivity, and SD WAN integrations.
Oversee network upgrades, migrations, and integrations, coordinating with other IT teams and vendors to ensure seamless transitions.
Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and diagrams, and present findings & recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Provide technical training and guidance to team members, mentoring junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the organization.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in advanced networking leveraging TCP/IP, subnetting, switching fundamentals, VLANs, STP, LACP; routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, route redistribution, policy-based routing across Cisco, Arista, HPE platforms
Experience in Network design - HA/redundancy (HSRP/VRRP), capacity planning, scalable campus/DC/WAN designs, L2/L3 designs, EVPN/VXLAN, micro segmentation, ACLs.
Experience providing support for various integrations such as firewalls, virtualization, storage technologies
Experience in WLAN architecture, RF fundamentals, roaming, controller/AP operations using HPE/Aruba is a plus
Must be able to troubleshoot issues using packet capture tools like Wireshark/tcpdump and do analysis; provide root-cause analysis
Demonstrated technical leadership in mentoring, incident management, problem resolution, stakeholder communication, design presentations, clear documentation, migrations, upgrades, vendor relations, and risk/timeline management.
Experience in enabling Network Automation
Experience in Cloud networking routing, VPN (IPSec/SSL), DirectConnect
Experience supporting Citrix, F5 load balancer, Cisco VPN, SD WAN is a plus
Qualification:
15 years of experience in Network design, solution, deployment & support
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
CCNP/CCIE certification is must.

The annual salary range for California is $136,500 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
