Job Summary - IT Support (100% onsite - Scranton, IA)

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for approximately end users while contributing to a broader, national IT Operations team. This role is responsible for owning issue resolution at the local site while also supporting a shared national ticketing queue. The ideal candidate be, handling walk-up support, escalated tickets, and serve as a primary point of contact for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex desktop and end-user issues.
  • Own and manage escalated tickets from the Service Desk, as well as contribute to a shared national support queue.
  • Deliver hands-on support for walk-up requests, system issues, and project-based work (e.g., deployments, upgrades, office moves).
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, network connectivity, and end-user devices (in person, via phone, or email).
  • Perform hardware upgrades and component installations (e.g., RAM, hard drives, NICs, CPUs).
  • Support moves, adds, and changes (MAC requests) through the ticketing system.
  • Ensure proper connectivity for both wired and wireless desktop environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, repairs, installations, and asset inventory.
  • Monitor desktop performance and provide reporting and recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with network and systems teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Assist with IT asset lifecycle management, including inventory tracking and procurement evaluations.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware support and issue resolution when needed.
  • Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, imaging, and deployments.
  • Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and long-term capacity planning


Technical Requirements

  • Experience with Active Directory administration
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365) troubleshooting
  • Proficiency supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
  • Experience with Exchange / email troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with device deployment and imaging tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM)
  • Experience with printer setup and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of mobile device support (iOS, Android)
  • Hands-on experience supporting IT projects such as:
    • Hardware refreshes
    • System deployments
    • Office moves

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support, or Help Desk escalation role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working within a ticketing system and SLA-driven environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across distributed teams

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
