Support Staff Status: Non Exempt Location: Quapaw Nation Facilities  Department: Information Technology (IT) Reports to: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Work Schedule: Full Time  Safety Sensitive: Yes* Driver’s license Required Yes   Position Summary:  Performs a variety of moderately complex information technology support duties to ensure the effective delivery of technology services and to provide development and maintenance support for the Quapaw Nation’s website. This position monitors, operates, and assists others in the use of computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Utilizes computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of technical support, equipment maintenance and repair, and computer operations tasks.   Essential Job Functions:  Provides assistance in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and related technologies, including operation within a multi platform computer environment.  Coordinates and supports web based projects in collaboration with tribal departments.  Installs, terminates, and maintains network cabling and connections. Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals, and user accounts, including assignment of appropriate security levels.  Installs, maintains, and repairs computer hardware and software.  Troubleshoots and diagnoses technical issues; implements corrective actions within established guidelines and escalates issues to advanced technical resources as needed. Maintains systems, databases, and web pages.  Transfers computer files between platforms.  Provides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment, including microcomputers, disk drives, and printers.  Assists in diagnosing hardware versus software issues on networked systems. Assists with data storage validation and system integrity.  Assists with the procurement, installation, and implementation of new servers and technology.  Assists with systems development projects and upgrades. Provides user level technical support for computers, printers, and related equipment. Performs all other duties as assigned.   Non essential Job Functions:  Performs minor maintenance of office equipment as required. Qualifications  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of personal computer hardware and software. Ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email applications, and mailing list systems. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with inventory systems and programs. Demonstrated discretion in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.  Exercises tact, courtesy, and sound judgment in daily interactions.  Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment. Demonstrates strong attention to detail. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing and qualify under the Quapaw Nation Motor Vehicle Policy.   Experience / Education:  Minimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of related experience providing technology support in an office or professional environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university preferred; or equivalent education and experience in a computer science or information technology field.   Physical Abilities:  Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  Ability to regularly reach above shoulder level.  Ability to push, pull, and lift up to and including thirty (30) pounds without physical discomfort or pain. Must be willing to travel occasionally to attend trainings, seminars, or professional development events.   Working Conditions:  Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
