Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist I to provide responsive, hands-on technical support to employees across the organization. As the first point of contact for day-to-day IT needs, you’ll troubleshoot hardware, software, user account, and connectivity issues while helping employees get the most out of the technology they use every day.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys solving problems, working directly with people, and building technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing and R&D environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer-service mindset, solid troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for computers, printers, tablets, peripherals, UPS systems, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot common software and application issues involving Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Dialpad, Epicor Kinetic, Minitab, SolidWorks, and other business applications.
  • Support user accounts and access within Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, Epicor, and other company systems.
  • Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.
  • Monitor Help Desk tickets and provide timely communication, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Support new employee onboarding, including device preparation, account setup, system access, and basic technology orientation.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and equipment records.
  • Maintain and update IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and other technical documentation.
  • Escalate technical issues to appropriate IT team members when additional expertise or support is required.
  • Deliver friendly, responsive, and professional technical support to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Assist with IT projects and other technology-related responsibilities as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous IT support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, internship, or related technical experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, software applications, user accounts, and network connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows-based environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and user account administration is preferred.
  • Experience supporting technology within a manufacturing, engineering, or R&D environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of a programming or scripting language is a plus but not required.
