Overview
This role provides technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT and audio-visual (AV) systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Responsible for general day to date support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:
- Assist in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems
- Provide first-line technical support for end-users, addressing issues with computers, printers, and mobile devices
- Perform basic system updates, installations, and configurations
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems
- Support live events, including meetings, webinars, and presentations, ensuring AV equipment functions seamlessly
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues during events or regular operations
- Maintain accurate records of IT and AV equipment inventory
- Document and track support tickets, solutions, and system changes
- Report recurring technical issues and suggest potential improvements
- Work closely with senior IT staff to learn and grow technical skills
- Provide basic IT and AV training to end-users as needed
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years' experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with audio-visual technology, including common AV setups and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AV platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar.
- Understanding of video editing or basic multimedia production.
- Basic knowledge of cabling and signal flow for IT and AV systems.
