Are you ready to embark on a rewarding career in banking and technology? Bank of the Lowcountry is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Specialist to join our growing technology team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technologies that power our banking operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees across all bank locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, mobile device, and telecommunications issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, peripherals, and business applications.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, user account management, password resets, and access requests.
- Collaborate with departments throughout the bank to ensure the reliable operation of technology systems and services.
- Support banking applications, digital banking platforms, and other line-of-business systems.
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls and security best practices.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, patch management, and security awareness initiatives.
- Support compliance with bank policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including information security and data protection standards.
- Work with third-party technology vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate service requests.
- Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, hardware deployments, and branch technology initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset inventories, procedures, and technical knowledge base articles.
- Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and remote-work testing to ensure operational resilience.
- Perform other technology-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Desire to learn new technologies and grow within the banking technology field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous IT support, help desk, internship, or technical customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, or information security concepts.
- Interest in banking technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
