Job Description Summary

Role Definition
Leads a team of employees who manages development projects, development teams and application support functions in the supply chain IT value stream.
 

Responsibilities

  • ERP & Core Supply Chain Systems Ownership
  • Own and optimize ERP and related supply chain systems (e.g., planning, inventory, procurement, manufacturing), ensuring system stability, scalability, and alignment with end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
  • Enterprise Planning & Demand Enablement
    Enable and support enterprise planning capabilities—demand planning, supply planning, S&OP—by delivering reliable data, system integrations, and analytics that drive accurate forecasting and informed decision‑making.
  • Supplier Collaboration & Integration
    Lead supplier collaboration initiatives, including EDI and digital integrations, portals, and data exchanges to improve supplier visibility, order accuracy, lead times, and overall supplier performance.
  • Data Integrity, Governance & Process Improvement
    Ensure high data quality across supply chain master and transactional data; establish governance, monitor data integrity, and drive continuous process improvements through root cause analysis and automation.
  • Business Partnership & Program Delivery
    Act as a trusted IT partner to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Procurement leaders—translating business needs into technology roadmaps, leading digital initiatives, and ensuring successful delivery of projects and enhancements.

Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired. Expertise in planning / purchasing / supplier collaboration processes and technologies.

IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) service; ability to manage IT services and oversee service operations.

• Oversees the establishment and use of best practices in IT service management.
• Leads in the development of information technology and personal technical skills.
• Promotes the use of standard procedures in each function of IT services.
• Creates criteria to measure professional services; ensures the quality of IT services.
• Forecasts technological industry trends and potential risks in IT service management.
• Provides insight into system optimization and development of process-focused IT services.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
