The IT Manager role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and IT operational expertise. This position works closely with the executive team, doctors, and Practice Managers to develop and implement strategic plans to ensure efficient and effective operations across multiple dental practices within the DSO. This role will involve establishing and maintaining operational standards, optimizing workflow processes, and driving IT operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the IT operational strategy aligned with the Company's overall goals and objectives.
Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company's long-term vision.
Identify opportunities for IT operational improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements.
Provide leadership and direction to all IT facets, such as in-house team, MSPs, hardware, facilities, and coworkers.
Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, optimizing resource allocation and utilization.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve productivity.
Monitor and evaluate IT operational performance using data and metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
Build and lead a high-performing IT operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the department.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the IT operations function.
Establish succession plans to ensure a strong talent pipeline for key operational roles.
Identify IT operational risks and develop strategies with senior leadership to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Implement and monitor equipment, health and data safety protocols to provide a stable IT working environment.
Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Education/License Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience Requirements:
7+ Years of increasing technical responsibility
5+ Years of IT Management or team leadership (preferred)
Skills Requirements:
Physically capable of doing necessary tasks, carrying equipment, using hand tools, climbing ladders
Knowledge of IT best practices including HIPAA compliance and data protection
Ability to work within a team environment and lend support, as a team player, to team members as needed
Physical Requirements:
Level 4(a): There is an ongoing requirement to exert light physical effort, including long periods of standing and lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing approximately two to ten pounds. Frequent bending to clean areas of operation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages a team of 1 to 5 individuals, including hiring, firing, disciplinary and performance responsibilities.
Travel Requirements:
26% - 50% travel required.
