The Role:
The IT Manager supervises a team of two and works closely with company leadership to ensure the organization's technology systems, infrastructure, and support services operate efficiently, securely, and reliably. This role focuses on translating business needs into practical technology solutions, maintaining stable day-to-day operations, and driving continuous improvement across IT processes, systems, and services.
This role is well-suited for someone who thinks beyond technical tasks, connects technology to business outcomes, and takes ownership of moving projects and initiatives forward. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on problem solving. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to build structure, accountability, and continuous improvement within a growing organization.
What You’ll Do:
Manage day-to-day IT operations, internal infrastructure, and Help Desk support across multiple locations.
Oversee IT security protocols and tools, including cyber protection, access control, and network monitoring.
Guide and enforce disaster recovery, endpoint/server patch management, and inventory systems.
Lead and document process improvements to strengthen system reliability, security, and scalability.
Supervise ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle planning of hardware and software assets.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships, purchasing processes, and IT cost controls.
Establish clear workflows and knowledge documentation for troubleshooting, system access, and issue resolution.
Ensure internal systems support hybrid and on-site work environments effectively.
Participate in IT strategy planning and the deployment of system-wide solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Maintain familiarity with business systems (e.g., Sage MAS, Planet Together, DCSC) and support their use across departments.
Monitor and report on performance metrics and support compliance with security and privacy standards.

QualificationsWhat We're Looking For:
Strong leadership and project management skills.
In-depth understanding of IT systems, network administration, security, and infrastructure.
Experience with IT policy implementation, project leadership, and enterprise support systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, DNS, VPNs, and endpoint management.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, as well as RMM/deployment tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to collaborate across teams.
Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing high-performing technical teams.
Proficient in using company systems and devices for timekeeping and personnel records.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years supervising or leading teams.
