WayFinder Logistics is a fast-growing, third-party logistics (3PL) company offering freight brokerage (non-asset-based transportation) services, including intermodal, rail, truckload and LTL brokerage, transportation management and international services.
WayFinder seeks a personable and detail-oriented IT Manager to join our team. As an IT Manager, you’ll be focused on providing technical assistance to our team members in a fast-paced environment. IT Manager contribute to increased productivity by ensuring that WayFinder IT systems run efficiently.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process time off requests and arrange coverage when necessary
- Plan workloads, allocate tasks, and monitor progress of IT Intern
- Devise work schedules and implement training benchmarks
- Educate and provide continuous training to IT team members
- Conduct performance reviews if requested by VP of Operations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, investigate, and resolve problems with computer software and hardware
- Field support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from team members with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns
- Consult with team members to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem
- Oversee device management and assignment
- Apply knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
- Guide team members through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
- Collaborate with other team members to research and resolve problems
- Collaborate with admins to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs
- Arrange service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products
- Maintain knowledge of technology innovations and trends
- Create “How To” documentation for IT processes
- Manage day-to-day user accounts, including passwords, permissions and onboarding/off-boarding
- Perform other related duties as assigned by VP of Operations

- Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products and services
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology or related field
- A blend of education and applied work experience may be considered
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
