CLMI Group is seeking an IT Coordinator – Technology Project Coordinator (TPC) to support the Los Angeles Community College District's (LACCD) bond-funded capital improvement program. This is a staff augmentation placement embedded with LACCD's Technology Project Management team across multiple campuses district-wide.
The TPC serves as a supporting resource to Technology Project Managers, managing project documentation, coordinating meetings, tracking budgets and schedules, and ensuring technology projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Duties:
- Supports the coordination of 5 to 10 bond-funded IT projects simultaneously, ranging in value and complexity across the LACCD Capital Improvement Program
- Manages and maintains project documentation including initiation forms, project schedules, and risk identification and mitigation logs
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, creates agendas, takes meeting notes, and finalizes meeting minutes with stakeholders
- Coordinates with stakeholders to complete project tasks, provides timely status reports, and organizes project folders and documentation
- Documents and reports all project data accurately and in a timely manner; creates reports and presentations as needed
- Reports and collaborates with the Program Management Office on all IT project matters
- Reviews and develops IT-related contract documents; ensures deliverables are complete and accurate
- Develops detailed technical scopes of work to support IT projects; reviews and coordinates approval of IT project submittals
- Coordinates budget and schedules; coordinates with the Asset Management team on technical inventory tracking
- Tracks all project status and provides management reports relative to the overall program and construction project delivery schedules
- Assists with change order review and evaluation with Construction Project Managers and Cost Estimators
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and reports performance of IT projects to include cost and schedule; updates risk logs and identifies risk mitigation plans
- Identifies and resolves technical issues across project types including Networking and Communications Infrastructure, Wireless and Cellular Deployments, Physical Security Systems, VoIP, Enterprise Device Deployments, Server and Endpoint Infrastructure, and Asset Management
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- 3 or more years of experience in the coordination and management of multiple IT projects; experience within a capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant codes and standards
- Experience integrating technology within construction and engineering projects
- Experience coordinating on multiple IT projects with differing complexities and scale simultaneously
- Experience researching and validating components for complex technology projects
- Involvement in all phases of the project life cycle including planning, design, and closeout as it relates to IT
- Experience supporting a variety of technologies including but not limited to Network, Server, VoIP, CCTV, AV, Storage, and Wireless
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Certifications in technology or project management related fields (e.g., CompTIA, PMP, CAPM, ITIL)
- Familiarity with bidding and contracting processes, particularly within programs that utilize public funds
- Experience facilitating and coordinating end user training sessions
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
OR
- Associate’s degree in a related technical field combined with 5 or more years of directly applicable IT project coordination experience
Preferred Licenses and Certificates:
- Certifications in technology or project management related fields may include: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, PMP, CAPM, ITIL, or equivalent
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The salary range for this position is $110,000-115,000.
