Responsibilities
State Farm Billing is seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to join a fast-paced, dynamic team responsible for owning, managing, maintaining, and enhancing the hosting infrastructure for the SF Billing vendor application, Majesco.
Currently, the Majesco application is hosted on premises at State Farm on IaaS Linux servers and utilizes WebSphere Application Server. The messaging solution in use is IBM MQ, and the backend database is hosted on-premises using Oracle Exadata Cloud @ Customer.
We are in the early stages of building, testing, and preparing to re-platform the Majesco vendor application to AWS, leveraging ROSA and the new AWS Marketplace offering – Oracle Database on AWS. Additionally, we are exploring compatible messaging solutions for the vendor application in the AWS environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and executing strategies to ensure the supporting infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and agile within a rapidly evolving IT landscape. This role involves close collaboration with the Majesco vendor to continuously improve application performance and scalability in conjunction with the Oracle database.
The team is also actively involved in production incident response, working to quickly recover from incidents that affect or are caused by the infrastructure’s health.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following:
Highly preferred
- Strong server type ownership skills with Linux and WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Hands-on experience and expertise with Oracle Exadata Cloud Control (Oracle Exa CC)
- Proficient in IBM MQ administration and troubleshooting
- Solid skills and experience in SQL query writing and database management
- Prior experience working with Majesco vendor solutions and platforms

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!
- Potential starting salary range: $123,000 - $137,000 annually
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
