Job DetailsJob Location: Home Office - WINSTON SALEM, NC 27103Position Type: Full Time II. POSITION SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an administrator of storage, virtualiztion, and backup technologies as they relate to enterprise environments.  It encompasses administration primarily of, but not limited  to, Omnissa Horizon, Nutanix, and Rubrik technologies.  This position is very detail oriented and requires the teammate to be proficient in storage provisioning and connectivity deliverance for a variety of operating systems (Windows & Linux). IV. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES, where essential functions are bolded and indicated as High or Low. Non-bolded items are important, but not essential to the job duties Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally. Regularly attend work at Piedmont's place of business during regular business hours. Bank Security: Ensure Piedmont Federal is using modern information security resources and that these measures are appropriately implemented, administered, maintained and changed in response to business conditions. (High Essential) Ensure systems are secure by testing configurations, implementing changes, researching new techniques, and keeping systems up-to-date with security patches and updates, document changes. (High Essential) Ensure network-related security is properly configured, including all network devices, access controls, permissions, encryption types and new security technologies. (Low Essential) Disaster Recovery: Maintain and manage disaster recovery technologies, testing, and document procedures.  Responsible for all data backups, regardless of backup technology, and data replication for bank disaster recovery. (High Essential) Maintain all Piedmont Federal critical data archived that follows internal data rentention polices, which includes digital or tape media. (High Essential) End User Support: Provide help desk support to end-users for client operating systems, office products, third-party software, and server technologies. (Low Essential) Provide support for all client hardware/software problems for internal staff and any cabling required for any system. (Low Essential) Investigate, compile, and document various materials for training, assist with training/workshops. (Low Essential) Inform teammates of new system changes due to upgrades, functionality, and procedures that impact their daily work. (Low Essential) Record, track, correspond, and document resolution of user issues by means of reporting and case management software. (Low Essential) Issue/Solution/Procedural Documentation: Troubleshoot and/or debug network-related problems/outages. (Low Essential) Keep all policy documentation current such as Information Security policies, Incident Response policies, Disaster Recovery policies, and Acceptable Use policies. (Low Essential) Provide assistance and support to all statement, document imaging, Cold Storage, and Check 21 applications and how it interfaces to Operations Department/Federal Reserve. (Low Essential) Document any network or PC-related functions and provide any hardware-related support as needed (Low Essential) Investigate and record reported incidents and unusual circumstances and document investigative and/or procedural steps with results. (Low Essential) Provide up-to-date procedural documentation along with any relevant diagrams that relate to job function and technology. (Low Essential) Communicate with software vendors regarding application errors, enhancements and ticket/case management. (Low Essential) New System Evaluation, Recommendation, and Implementation: Evaluate, recommend, and implement new banking software for new job functionality, increased bank productivity and better bank services to customers and end-users. (Low Essential) Perform special projects, from commencement to completion, including  research, vendor contact, documentation, equipment installation and other duties as assigned to optimize department efficiency. (Low Essential) Plan and implement installation of new programs. (Low Essential) Analyze present systems to evaluate future systems needed for replacement, supporting technologies, newer technologies, and cost-efficiency. (Low Essential) System Maintenance: Assist and manage systems related to Storage Area Network (SAN), Server/Desktop Virtualization, and backup platforms. (High Essential) Implement, install, upgrade and test new or modified Storage/Virtualization systems. (High Essential) Maintain, administer, and update digital fax system. (Low Essential) Provide support for all types of printers. (Low Essential) Understand and maintain user/computer procedures and network accounts/groups with a focus on overall security. (Low Essential) Ensure systems are performing optimally (email, LAN, WAN, Internet) through monitoring, reporting, and disseminating real-time alerts. (Low Essential) Non Essential Monitor the functioning of bank door access, critical area access and digital surveillance systems along with maintaining overall bank physical security. Keep client end-point security posture to the highest standard with regards to regulation and compliance. Support and implement any third-party security assessments performed against any technology. Implement, install, upgrade and operating system and applications to Laptops/PCs. Monitor network stability, health, and assist in troubleshooting any Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) issues. Manage application relevant databases, backups, and updates.  Understand how all CORE banking programs communicate with each other.  Assist in supporting the Bank’s Local Area and Wide Area networks hardware, firmware, and software systems. Plan, secure, test, and maintain routers, switches, and firewall communication technologies.  Ensure configurations are optimal and efficient.
