Kahuna is seeking an in-office Desktop Support Technician for the Information Technology department (IT). This role will support and receive on-the-job training from experienced systems administrators supporting everyday technical support for users within the company both local and remote. This position is responsible for supporting users in a Windows environment with various applications and technologies. Potential responsibilities include:

Install hardware components in the desktops and laptops.
Setting up and troubleshooting network connections with both Ethernet and wireless.
Provide desktop operating system and application support in a Windows/Office environment.
Set up new workstations, installing operating systems and applications.
Help users migrate to new computers.
Troubleshoot all manner of user problems. Determine the root of the problem and provide the user with step by step support.
Perform general office duties such as filing, responding to emails, other duties as assigned.
Be discrete and confidential with sensitive company and user information.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Worked for at least two years with computers and networks in an office environment.
Knowledge of hardware and software applications in desktops and laptops, including Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft 365 applications, Ethernet networking and security.
A solid understanding of customer service ethics and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to easily converse with users who are not knowledgeable about computers.
Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot computer issues.
The right candidate will be comfortable helping users with all varieties of smartphones.
Familiarity with AutoCAD software encouraged.
Experience in a multiple server environment a plus but not required.
CompTIA A+ certification or similar encouraged but not required.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and occasionally climb ladders.
