Desktop Support Technician (On-Site)

Location: New Haven, CT

Workplace Type: 100% On-Site

Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join a centralized IT team supporting a complex and fast-paced enterprise environment. This role serves as an IT generalist responsible for delivering a broad range of end-user support services, including desktop troubleshooting, network support, user training, and system administration.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment supporting a diverse user base and modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive desktop support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and user assistance
  • Resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues; escalate more advanced problems as needed
  • Support core services such as email, scheduling, backups, and network connectivity
  • Install and configure software for network access, backups, and server connectivity
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory users, groups, and organizational units (OUs)
  • Track and maintain inventory for hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs
  • Conduct proactive maintenance and on-site support visits
  • Document systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps in ticketing systems
  • Train and support end-users on

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
