We are seeking a Data & IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality data and smooth day-to-day technology operations across the organization..
This position reports to the VP of Business Intelligence.

Our Ideal Candidate will get to:
Pull, compile, and format data for grant reporting, funder requirements, and internal evaluation.
Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports from the case management system and other data platforms.
Maintain data quality by reviewing, cleaning, and validating data entries across systems.
Assist with updating and maintaining dashboards and visualizations used for strategic planning and performance tracking.
Support ongoing maintenance of the case management tool, including:
Updating fields, forms, and workflows
Running routine checks for data accuracy
Communicating system issues or enhancement opportunities.
Assists. with documentation of data processes, reporting schedules, and system procedures.
Provide basic internal IT support to staff, responding to low-level technology issues and troubleshooting needs.
Support setup and configuration of new user accounts in Google Workspace and other platforms.
Assist with managing the phone system (e.g., user setup, routing updates).
Monitor and track basic IT tickets, escalating items as needed to the VP of Business Intelligence or relevant contractors.
Help ensure routine upkeep of staff devices and user access permissions.
Support inventory tracking for laptops, peripherals, and technology assets.
Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in data management, information systems, IT, or related fields preferred.
Experience with data entry, reporting, or database systems (nonprofit or case management systems a plus).
1–2 years of IT support experience preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working with spreadsheets, data tools, and cloud-based systems (Google Workspace required).
Experience working with MS Excel, SQL, and Google Data Studio
Ability to learn new systems quickly and follow established data and IT processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
This position is in-person, with work performed at Family Promise of West Michigan's administrative building. The Data & IT Support Specialist must be available to work part-time hours.
Lifting of materials of up to 20 pounds may be necessary and may have to travel between Family Promise shelter locations.
