We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to support the full lifecycle development and maintenance of cloud-native and stand-alone enclave solutions, making sure they are secure, scalable, and compliant with organizational and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record executing modernization projects in secure environments and serves as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-paced software development team. This role is in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and cost; identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles throughout the system lifecycle; deliver releasable software each iteration in alignment with Agile frameworks.
  • Design and document system architecture from technical requirements; develop and maintain system maintenance and end-of-life plans.
  • Establish and track metrics for system performance, availability, and security.
  • Collaborate with users, developers, and Sponsor organizations to identify priorities, resolve infrastructure issues, and support security accreditation.
  • Mentor team members on cloud services including C2S, AWS, and load balancing.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge management across all job duties.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, CIS, or Computer Engineering; minimum 10 years of cloud engineering experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in AWS services: S3, EC2, KMS, Lambda, MSK, SageMaker, Docker, Kafka, and Kubernetes; strong background in AWS security and access controls in high-security environments.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux OS, Java, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Experience developing and supporting automation and orchestration for IAM services.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining auditing tools, OAuth-based MFA solutions, and RBAC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated leadership, time management, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • All candidates undergo an additional security review upon joining

Desired Experience:
  • Experience with Agile development frameworks.
  • Experience maintaining Java and PHP applications on Windows.
  • Proficiency in HTML and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with Cypher query language or Neo4j.
  • Database administration experience.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience deploying and optimizing infrastructure to support LLM use and training.
  • 3+ years of software development experience within the Intelligence Community.
