CLOUD & IT INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
As a Cloud & IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting secure and reliable technology infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. This role supports both cloud infrastructure and day-to-day systems administration, including identity, endpoints, user access, core business technology, and operational support. You will help improve infrastructure operations, support automation, maintain reliable systems, and provide responsive technical support to employees. The role requires hands-on Azure, Microsoft 365, and systems administration experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization.

Position Location: Atlanta, GA
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Azure Infrastructure Administration: Administer, maintain, and support Azure infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, networking, Web Apps, SQL, storage, and other cloud resources. Work with the team on infrastructure changes and improvements to support business and technical requirements.
- Automation and Optimization: Support and develop automation using PowerShell, BICEP, ARM templates, and other tools to improve infrastructure operations, streamline routine tasks, and reduce manual processes.
- Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Improve monitoring solutions for Azure infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime, and proactively addressing issues before they impact the business.
- Security and Compliance: Implement Azure security best practices, including identity and access management, security configurations, and compliance monitoring to meet company standards and regulations.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Support and maintain Azure disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including testing, documentation, and recovery activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support deployment pipelines and best practices.
- Incident Management: Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, providing rapid response to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
System Administration
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows endpoints, Azure Virtual Desktop, user accounts, groups, access permissions, device policies, software configurations, and other enterprise technology systems.
Identity and Access Administration
- Provision, modify, and deprovision user access in accordance with approved access requirements; support MFA, SSO, role-based access, group membership, password and authentication issues, and periodic access reviews.
Endpoint and Device Management
- Configure, deploy, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot company laptops, workstations, mobile devices, and related peripherals using approved endpoint management and security tools.
IT Operations and End-User Support
- Provide hands-on technical support for employees, including help desk requests, hardware and software troubleshooting, connectivity issues, account access, Microsoft 365 applications, and other day-to-day technology needs.
Automation, Governance, Cost & Compliance
- Enforce governance: RBAC, Azure Policy, tagging, subscription/resource hierarchies.
- Automate environment provisioning across Dev/QA/UAT/Prod; implement FinOps cost governance, rightsizing, budgets, and alerts.
- Operate and maintain cloud and IT infrastructure in accordance with HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, and HITRUST security and compliance requirements.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Prepare and configure equipment and user access for new hires; coordinate technology readiness for employee start dates; and support timely account, device, and access changes for employee transfers and departures.
Workstation and Office Technology Support
- Support employee workstation changes, office moves, desk and peripheral setups, conference room technology, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other office technology as needed.
IT Asset and Inventory Support
- Assist with tracking, deploying, recovering, and maintaining company technology assets and ensuring equipment records remain accurate throughout the asset lifecycle.
Support Documentation and Ticket Management
- Document support activity, resolutions, system changes, and recurring issues in the company help desk system; maintain technical documentation and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cloud engineering, or a related technical role, with hands-on Microsoft Azure experience preferred.
- Cloud Expertise: Working knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, networking, Entra ID, Web Apps, SQL, Storage Accounts, Front Door, and Azure Monitor.
- Automation: Experience with PowerShell and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as BICEP, ARM templates, or equivalent.
- Scripting: Practical scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for automation and administrative tasks.
- Security Knowledge: Working knowledge of cloud security practices, identity and access management, and security controls in Microsoft cloud environments.
- Networking: Working knowledge of Azure networking, VNETs, NSGs, Front Door, WAF, DNS, and general network troubleshooting.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement solutions effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Azure Cloud environments or hybrid cloud solutions.
- Strong task management and organizational skills.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Requesting 3 days in the Atlanta office alongside the Leadership team. Remote work permitted on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Flexibility with schedule around general business hours. Must have reliable internet and familiarity with digital platforms.
