Job DetailsJob Location: Magnolia Science Academy 1 - Reseda, CA 91335Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: DayJOB SUMMARY The IT Manager will maintain our information technology systems and networks. They will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom (Yealink) systems. JOB DUTIES Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices Provide technical support or training for systems and networks Act as link between end users and higher level support Install and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.) Monitor system and network performance Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups) Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality Other duties assigned by the supervisor as needed Qualifications: Qualifications Knowledge of: Computer hardware and software configurations Computer operating systems Inventory and documentation practices Network cabling standards Organizational skills General technical terminology Required Abilities: Learn and effectively use hardware and software specific to MPS needs Train or assist in providing training to end users Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity problems Work independently with minimal supervision Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Project a mature, constructive, stable, and healthy attitude in a learning environment Learn pertinent procedures and functions quickly and apply them without close and immediate supervision Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers, administrators, supervisors, co-workers, vendors, and the public Learn new skills to keep current with technology trends Instruct others in the use and care of computer hardware and software Adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment and systems Multi-task while maintaining patience and flexibility Manage time effectively between multiple sites Education and Experience Graduation from high school and College-level courses specializing in computer operation, installation, maintenance, and repair or Two (2) years of experience hardware/software support in a corporate network License and Other Requirements Valid California Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance A+, Network+, MCSA certification preferred Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Seeing to read a variety of materials and see computer screens. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Walking to diagnose computer problems. Climbing ladders to diagnose problems. Lifting objects up to 60 pounds. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
