The IT Manager will maintain our information technology systems and networks. They will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom (Yealink) systems.
JOB DUTIES
Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
Provide technical support or training for systems and networks
Act as link between end users and higher level support
Install and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.)
Monitor system and network performance
Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration
Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)
Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules
Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
Other duties assigned by the supervisor as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications Knowledge of:
Computer hardware and software configurations
Computer operating systems
Inventory and documentation practices
Network cabling standards
Organizational skills
General technical terminology
Required Abilities:
Learn and effectively use hardware and software specific to MPS needs
Train or assist in providing training to end users
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity problems
Work independently with minimal supervision
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Project a mature, constructive, stable, and healthy attitude in a learning environment
Learn pertinent procedures and functions quickly and apply them without close and immediate supervision
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers, administrators, supervisors, co-workers, vendors, and the public
Learn new skills to keep current with technology trends
Instruct others in the use and care of computer hardware and software
Adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment and systems
Multi-task while maintaining patience and flexibility
Manage time effectively between multiple sites Education and Experience
Graduation from high school and
College-level courses specializing in computer operation, installation, maintenance, and repair or
Two (2) years of experience hardware/software support in a corporate network
License and Other Requirements
Valid California Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
A+, Network+, MCSA certification preferred
Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
