Davidson Technologies is seeking a Windows System Administrator in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Windows 10/11 clients and Windows Server 2019/2022 hosts, including virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V/VMware).
- Manage Active Directory forests, OU structure, group policy, DNS, file sharing (SMB/CIFS) and NFS services.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell and batch scripts for provisioning, software deployment and remediation.
- Create and run Ansible playbooks for cross‑platform (Windows & RHEL) automation (bonus).
- Apply DISA STIGs, ACAS scan remediations and Evaluate‑STIG tools; perform security‑focused OS/software updates and hardening.
- Administer Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint and related services.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows OS, application and networking issues; provide Level 2/3 support.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups) and contribute to Git/GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines (bonus).
- Produce run‑books, SOPs and configuration documentation; mentor junior staff on hybrid Windows/Linux operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Final Secret clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification or higher.
- 5-10 years experience in Windows administration within a secure, multi‑OS environment.
- Proficiency with Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2019 and Server 2022.
- Experience with AD, DNS, file sharing, group policy and NFS.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and batch scripting skills.
- Patch management experience (WSUS, SCCM or equivalent).
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs, ACAS and Evaluate‑STIG processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication for documentation and stakeholder interaction.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- Administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Experience designing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for Windows and RHEL.
- Participation in Agile development (Scrum/Kanban).
- Git/GitLab repository management and branching strategies.
- Involvement in DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Virtualization experience (Hyper‑V, VMware ESXi, KVM).
- Monitoring tools experience (Splunk, SolarWinds, Prometheus).
